Gymnastics, Hip Hop, Spit Up, and Poop

This year will be one busy year for Mamacita Pamela...Saturdays will be gymnastics for Savannah, then of course little baby Jackson is waiting for me when I get home and Will is always standing there holding Jackson out to me as soon as I walk in the door. Monday nights are hip hop classes at 6:30, so I don't even have time to eat or give baby J a kiss...and again...Will is standing there with spit up on his shirt and poo in the diaper when I get home.

Today is Bittersweet

Today is bittersweet...my 1st baby started 2nd grade...that's right 2nd GRADE!! This may seem a little excessive but almost everytime I change Jackson's diaper or give him a bath I am reminded of my first times of doing that with my little girl Savannah and it seems like just yesterday that I was gazing into her little face and falling in love with her. Although Jackson is a boy, he looks so much like her when she was a baby. I feel selfish not wanting her to grow up, I just wish she was going to be a little girl forever, is that so wrong???? It's a cold cruel world out there and I don't want anything or anybody to ruin the little girl world that she currently resides in. Aughhh, it's just too much. It's gonna be hard to give her the attention that she needs and deserves over these next couple of years with Jackson now in the picture, but I am gonna try my hardest to make sure she knows how much I truly love and care about her...mommy's little girl.

WATCH OUT SUCKA!

Don't mess with my rubber ducky.

Jackson is 9 weeks old today!

Jackson Milestones
1. He is definitely trying to tell me how is day went everyday when I get home. He moves his little jaw and makes little ahhhh and ouhhh noises...hard to explain but he is definitely talking to me.

2. He is less gassy and better able to control is air intake while feeding.

3. When he hears my voice or sees me walk into a room, he gets very excited and wants me to pick him up. I know this because he starts moving his arms and breathing hard. Sometimes I act annoyed by this but I actually love it that he wants me to hold him, sometimes only mommy will do.

4. We are getting more and more sleep at night and he is awake more in the day. Although, Jackson is smart, he often opens and closes one eye to make sure I am still there. If he sees me walking away he gets mad and starts getting fussy. As soon as I walk back, he's okay. It's a game he likes to play nightly.

5. We have started to put half of a teaspoon of pureed banana in his night time bottle and half of a teaspoon of pureed prune in his morning bottle and everything seems to flow pretty well. The banana bottle gets him to sleep and the prune bottle gets him to poo and not be so gassy gus. This was all on the advice from our sitter Ms. Betty. She's a tough cookie but with 25 years of experience behind her, who am I to question her.

Muey Importante Jackson Updates

1. This is his first week at the babysitter's (Ms. Betty). She is from Venezuala and I told her to only speak Spanish to him....one bilingual baby...comin up!

2. He has started to sleep for longer periods at night (thank you Jesus).

3. I have discovered that no matter how hard he cries or how upset he is, if I put him in the bathtub and keep that water running, he is a happy little man. He just loves to be in the tub and have that water flowing.

4. He prefers to sleep on his tummy.

5. Jackson likes to take walks with his daddy and big sister outside.

6. Nobody can make Jackson smile like his big sister. He loves to hear her sing.
